Melanie Buerke

As Executive Director, Ms. Buerke is the founder of the organization and passionately conveys the divine inspiration for SonRise. She has proven adept at communicating this message in the context of discussions with potential charitable donors. She has a lifetime of experience with horses and riding, and extensive training in riding instruction skills and horsemanship.

SonRise's role as a charitable organization and its future course are steered by its Board of Directors. SonRise is fortunate to have four board members who are experienced, multi-talented, and, most importantly, very caring.

Jon Koski

John Koski As President of the Board of Directors, Mr. Koski provides the knowledge of standard business practices and sound business management methodology that he has learned from his role as a partner in one business and owner/President of his own business.

Nancy Seibert

Nancy Seibert As Vice President of the Board of Directors, Mrs. Seibert brings organizational skills gathered from her life experiences, employment history, education, and, most importantly, her personal character. She also is valuable to the corporation because of her extensive spiritual wisdom.

Lisa Shera

Lisa Shera As Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors, Ms. Shera offers knowledge of finances and accounting principles, and extensive knowledge and belief in ethics and ethical principles. She provides the knowledge of a lifetime of working with horses and riding instruction. She has an extensive background of working with children and young people as a riding instructor and as an associate pastor.
